The Enchanted Palace at Kensington Palace
A lot of people will remember Kensington Palace as the former home of the late Princess Diana. It now transformed to the Enchanted Palace, which offers a different kind of unique entertainment to its visitors. It no longer speaks of the story of the late Princess Diana but is completely transformed to tell the story of the Seven Princesses.
The Enchanted Palace at Kensington Palace is a theatrical art installation project that combines theatre, drama, fashion and royalty into a spectacular play of visual arts. A lot of people may say that it is simply out of character that this once elegant private home has turned into something provocative and public. On a positive note, a lot of tourists and artists love the place because it is a new destination with something different and unique to offer.
The Enchanted Palace worked with the talents of the Wildworks Theatre Company to come up with something creative that will entice both locales and foreign tourists that will visit the Kensington Palace. One of the notable designers that worked for this exhibition is Viviene Westwood for ‘A Dress for a Rebellious Princess’.
A lot of tourists still go to Kensington Palace because of the fact that it was Princess Diana’s former dwelling although there is little reminder that it once was, if you are going in expecting designer bedding, you may just be surprised. The place is dark and a little spooky but can really be entertaining, especially if you are into arts. The exhibition was all visual with little information about the art pieces displayed he palace. But if you are interested about a certain piece of art that caught your eye, you can call on an attendant and you will be impressed on how knowledgeable they are.
The Enchanted Palace is also a kid-friendly destination. You can actually bring your children here for free and let them join activities that are organized by the staff. Over all it is a great place to be if you want to experience something extraordinary in London.
